My Top Baby Must-Haves

As a new mom, I was clueless as to what I would actually need when it came to baby. I didn’t want to go overboard with frivolous things I knew I probably wouldn’t use- but I also didn’t want to find myself in a crisis without the “right tool”! As a courtesy to all my moms out there, I’ve compiled a list of my top baby items that I don’t think I could have survived without! These are in no particular order:

  1.  Halo Swaddle: when I found this, my son was almost two months old and I thought I was about to lose my mind from lack of sleep. I had tried to swaddle him myself with those cute little swaddle blankets, but I sucked. I gave up. Then I discovered this swaddle and his sleep (and my life) changed! The day we transitioned him out of it, I was so sad. //
  2. Dock-A-Tot: Now, I will admit this was a splurge, but so worth it for my sleep sanity! The combination of the Halo Swaddle and the Dock-A-Tot made my little angel feel so snug and secure and sleep like a champ.  //
  3. Baby Brezza: All my formula feeding moms out there, put your hands in the air! I am ALL for breastfeeding, and I reallllly wanted to breastfeed my son, which I did for the first two months of his life. But man did we struggle. The minute we decided to start supplementing with formula, I knew I would need this thing. It made all feedings (especially those hazy night feedings) sooo much easier. We still use this and plan to use for Baby #2. //
  4. Nose Frida: Ew, looks and sounds gross, I know. But man does it work! Those old-school bulb suckers just don’t do the trick. When your child has a runny or stuffy nose, take 3 seconds to use this and instant breathability! //
  5. Zip-Up Footie Pajamas: This is an easy one but I’m telling you- you do NOT want to be jacking around with buttons in the pitch black at 2 am after little one had an exploding diaper! You will need multiples of these in all sizes. //
  6. Angelcare Baby Bath: Our little guy loooves to take baths! As new parents, we were kind of nervous for that first bath (I think we gave him sponge baths for the first month) but this bath tub made us feel at ease. //
  7. Summer Infant Bath Seat: When our little guy got too big for his Angelcare tub, I searched for an assisted seat because I wasn’t ready to just plop him right in the tub. This thing is awesome! We are still using it right now. //
  8. Diaper Genie: I don’t know about other people’s babies, but my son has some crazy stinky poops. I would not have been able to walk in my house if we were just throwing those away in the regular trash can. Especially in the newborn stage when they poop every. time. they. eat. And they’re always eating! //
  9. Boppy Pillow: My son practically lived on this thing for the first 4 months of his life! I have so many pictures and videos of him cozied in this pillow. Love it!   //                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              And there you have it! My top must-haves for baby survival. Like I said, we still use a lot of these products and my son is 9 months old so they last you a while. Happy hunting lovelies!
