All my crock pot lovers, put your hands in the air! There is just something about the simplicity of throwing ingredients into one place and letting the crock pot do the work that makes my heart happy. Not to mention how good it makes your kitchen smell!
This is one of my husband’s favorites and it has been a while since I’ve made it so I thought I would do us both a favor and make it tonight!
•1 boneless chuck roast (beef or pork)
•1 lb bag baby carrots
•1 lb bag baby red potatoes
•1 packet brown gravy mix
•1 packet Italian dressing (dry ingredient)
•1 packet ranch dressing (dry ingredient)
- Pour the bag of baby carrots into the bottom of the crock pot. Cut your potatoes into halves or fourths and add those to the crock pot. Pour half the packet of each ingredient on top.
2. Put the chuck roast on top and pour in the rest of your brown gravy mix, Italian dressing, and Ranch dressing. Add as much water as the brown gravy mix calls for.
3. Turn your crock pot on low and let that baby simmer and get tender while you’re off doing whatever it is you gotta do!
This combo is one I found in college and I’ve been making it ever since. The flavors just go together and the tenderness of the roast is the best. We love this simple and delicious meal! Plus, can you say leftovers?! Score!
